Cami Rivera-Alonso serves as a Program Associate at Transform Health. She primarily works in the Medi-Cal space with a specific focus on implementing and tracking CalAIM initiatives in the San Diego region. 

Before joining Transform Health, Cami provided cross functional support to a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) in San Diego County, the Village Family Health Center. The FQHC exclusively served individuals experiencing homelessness and was embedded within a larger homelessness services organization, Father Joe’s Villages. As a member of the quality team, Cami was responsible for providing technical Electronic Health Record support such as onboarding and training new staff, improving clinical workflows, and communicating network updates to the health center. She ensured compliance with programs like Patient Centered Medical Home and executed data analysis for state and federal reports, among many other functions. Most noteworthy was her management of the health center’s OCHIN Epic Implementation which went live at the end of last year. 

Cami is a passionate health equity advocate with a demonstrated ability to leverage business intelligence tools, data, and research to drive meaningful and sustainable process improvement. She is particularly interested in the intersection of health, public health and human rights and believes health equity efforts lie at the heart of that intersection. 

Cami received a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from the University of California, Davis and, more recently, a Master’s Degree in Public Health – Health Management and Policy from San Diego State University. She is a Boricua living in San Diego, and on her free time can usually be found listening to El Gran Combo de Puerto Rico while relaxing on the beach, or hanging out with her cat, Binx.
