
Maribel Soria, MPH
Director, Transformation
Maribel joins Transform Health as the Director of Transformation with over 15 years of experience in community engagement and public health. At Transform Health, Maribel facilitates cross-regional relationships to support CalAIM Enhanced Care Management and Community Supports implementation.
Maribel brings immense experience and knowledge of California’s health care systems to the role. Having started her career as a Planned Parenthood health educator, Maribel has since worked for a range of health care entities, including FQHCs, managed care plans, community-based organizations, and more. Her prior experience includes serving as the Women’s Health Manager at AltaMed Health Services, where she led the Comprehensive Perinatal Services Program, Title X Family Planning Program, and the California Personal Responsibility Education Program that provided comprehensive sexual health education to adolescents. Maribel also served as the Senior Manager for L.A. Care Health Plans Community Resource Centers, where she was responsible for the day-to-day operations and strategic expansion of the centers– taking the number of centers from four to 14. Most recently, Maribel worked at California Health Medical Reserve Corps (CHMRC), leading community engagement efforts to drive the uptake of COVID-19 vaccinations in underserved communities of Southern California.
Maribel obtained her bachelor’s degree from California State University, Dominguez Hills, where she double majored in Chicano/a Studies and Health Science with a focus on Community Health. She completed her graduate studies at the University of Southern California earning a Master of Public Health Degree with a concentration in health education and promotion. Maribel also has a certificate in Diversity Equity and Inclusion from Rutgers University.
Maribel is a passionate advocate for health equity and has focused her career on building programs that serve the health needs of underrepresented and under-resourced communities in Southern California. She is also a proud dog mom to two Labradoodles, Dalí and Charlie.
