Erica Ho, MPH

Program Associate

Erica Ho serves as a Program Associate with Transform Health. Utilizing her experiences from FQHC, non-profit, and public sector environments, she provides programmatic support for health policy implementation efforts in California. 

Before joining Transform Health, Erica served as a lecturer at California State University, Sacramento. She joined the College of Health and Human Services as part of the (then) newly created Department of Public Health shortly before the COVID-19 pandemic began and worked with colleagues to ensure student accessibility to higher education. As an instructor, she facilitated upper division courses for students majoring in health sciences and public health, with a focus on health promotion, human sexuality, and health psychology.  

In her previous work, Erica’s roles have ranged from front line service provider to program administrator. She has focused on collecting high-quality data for statewide violent death reporting, provided clinic- and community-based health promotion services for transition-age youth, enrolled students in a college and trades preparatory program, piloted a school-based health care project, and helped administer federally funded nutrition (SNAP-Ed) and sexual health education (PREP) programs. She has always been drawn to public service roles, particularly those focused on youth empowerment and equity as a social determinant of health. 

Erica earned her bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences from University of California, Davis and her Master of Public Health degree from Portland State University. In her spare time, Erica can be found playing outdoors, wandering locally near the American River Parkway or exploring a hiking trail in a national park.
